About
Welcome to Michelle’s Cat Sanctuary from ChinTai & Dymension

About Me
My name is Michelle and I currently have over 90 cats and 8 dogs, but these numbers change at times. Most of the time I do all of the work myself and sometimes have volunteers from the ‘workaway project‘. Currently I fund everything from my pension and some donations on occasion. It all started 8 years ago, from my condo, where there was a large colony of cats, breeding was out of control. So I helped by getting the condo cats sterilised, around this time one of the cats fell ill with kidney disease (which is quite common with cats and dogs) and I learnt how to treat them. Also there were lots of dogs on the beach, lots of puppies with some in terrible health for various reasons. As I got more and more attached to the animals, I decided to get a house, then yet another house but bigger! One thing led to another and here I am with over 90 cats and eight dogs, an ever growing group.
Running Costs
As I mentioned above, currently I cover most, if not all sometimes, the expenses of the sanctuary through my pension and dedicating my time to all the lovely animals. Here are an example of some of the costs –
FOOD: A large budget of food for the cats.
VET CARE: Regular check ups, vaccinations, illnesses or injuries.
UTILITIES: Electric, water and gas. Luckily we have a lot of sunshine though.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS: When the need arises.
Most of the time I do all of the work myself. However, sometimes I have volunteers from the ‘workaway project‘. And if this is something you feel you would like to help out with instead of donating? Please follow the link.
